Sticking around the city this holiday weekend? Philly's diverse neighborhoods have a ton of fun events lined up for those of us who aren't headed down the shore.

From fireworks shows and beer gardens to patriotic ceremonies and outdoor movie nights, we're hoping to hit them all! We've put together a guide of our favorite event in each city neighborhood. Hope to see you there!

Old City / Society Hill


Philadelphia Orchestra Free Concert and Fireworks

Listen to the renowned Philadelphia Orchestra kick off the holiday in a tuneful way and enjoy a fireworks display over the Delaware River.

Passyunk Square


Summer Mummer Concert

Enjoy an old-fashioned, outdoor block party complete with performances by Philly's most famous string band, refreshments and more.

Germantown


Historic Germantown Independence Day Celebration

Going on its 12th year, this FREE series of events includes everything from a farmer's market to guided storytelling.

South Philly


XFINITY Fireworks Show at Citizens Bank Park

The Philadelphia Phillies will be illuminating the sky above Citizen's Bank Park following a baseball game against the Kansas City Royals. Fireworks occur 15 minutes after the conclusion of each game. Tickets to the game are required.

Art Museum


Wawa Welcome America's Party on the Parkway

Starting at noon on Monday, July 4th, 10 hours of TOTALLY FREE entertainment are available along the Parkway. Everything wraps up with a fireworks display over the Art Museum at 10pm!

Rittenhouse Square


Fireworks at One Liberty Observation Deck

For some of the craziest views of the Penn's Landing firework shows, climb up to the viewing deck on the 57th floor of One Liberty. It will be staying open for an extra hour to make sure you can catch the whole show!

Queen Village / Pennsport


Fireworks at Washington Avenue Green

A highly underrated place to catch fireworks over the Delaware, Washington Avenue Green / Pier 53 is a great place for dinner, drinks and a 4th of July show.

Friday, July 1st and Saturday, July 2nd. 8pm to 10pm.

Northern Liberties


Official Viewing Party for Wawa Welcome America

For the first time ever, The Piazza at Schmidt's Commons is hosting an Official Viewing Party for the Wawa Welcome America July 4th concert and fireworks show!

Pregame to the Parkway at New Liberty Distillery
