A Love Letter to My Home
They say that home is where the heart is, so with Valentine’s Day upon us, it’s important to reflect on the love you have for your surroundings and home. Recently, one of our homeowner friends wrote a love letter about her home in the Queen Village neighborhood as she was preparing to sell. We thought sharing it would be fun to celebrate Valentine's Day—no cards, candies, or flowers needed!
Love Letter to 117 League Street
I loved how the sun shined through the windows, making the house so bright.
I loved how we could slip away to the park through the yard, day or night.
I loved the neighbors, so helpful and friendly.
When packages were left at the door, not to worry.
I loved the rooftop view of fireworks every 4th of July.
I loved the lazy days up there soaking up the blue sky.
I loved rooftop BBQs too. We were frequently the hosts,
Sharing laughter with family and friends, giving toasts.
We brought our two children, then a third was welcomed into this home
I loved walking everywhere with them, through the neighborhood we’d roam.
I loved Head House Square. It was one of our favorite jaunts.
I loved when Halloween rolled around with smiles, candy, and haunts.
I loved all the holidays in this home where we decorated every season.
And so did the entire neighborhood. We did not need a reason.
I loved the restaurants, the vibe, the memories... we were blessed.
To the new homeowners*, welcome. This home is the BEST!
*This home is now under contract. We're sure the new homeowners are going to love it just as much as you did!
